Strengthening the Entente.
LONDON, October 23
At the Nelson celebration on Saturday at Capetown the "Marseillaise" was played, and it was received with cheers. At many dinners given in honour of Trafalgar Day reference to the AngloFrench entente was received with cheers.
The Nelson celebrations, coupled with the fact that at them all the entente with France was received with cheers, have made a great impression in Germany.
PARIS, October 23
"Le Temps" says that the speech of Sir Edward Grey, in which he said that the Liberals, if returned to power, would* seek to strengthen the entente, has made an excellent impression in France.

"La Journal dcs Debats," in resenting the German suggestion that France had better sit quietly by the fireside in the event of an Anglo-German quarrel, declares that Germany seem 3 determined to reduce France to political servitude, but the man does not exist who could so bind France.
