AVONDALE JOCKEY CX.V '■■■ AUTUMN MEETING. AVONDALE, this day. - The autumn meeting of the Avondale Jockey Club took place this afternoon, and was largely attended. The following are the results: — Maiden Handicap .Hurdles of SO soys., 1} miles.—Mr 15. 11. Weston's Sunsblne, S.O, 1; Mr. C. Whitney's Andy Kegan. 10.0. 2; Mr. W." Tooman's Murawai, 8.5, 3. val- i kyrie was scratched. Sunshine was in the lead from the start, and although Andy Regan was on terms at the last fence, the mare dew out in the run to the post, and won by "wo lengths. Time, 3m. *2S 4-ss. Dividend, £5 ss. Flying Handicap of SOsovs, distance four furloncs.—Messrs H. and R. Duder's Black and Gold. 9.5, 1: Mr C. Weal's Desdemona and Mr W. C. King's Certainty, dead heat, -. Scratched: Inspiration and Merry Soult. Desdemona was quickest to begin, and was joined by Black and Gold. The pair made the running to the distance, whore Black and Gold drew'out, and,-finishing strongly, won by a length and a ha if. Certainty just getting up in time to make n dead heat for second honours. Time, Slsee. Dividends: Black and Gold, £-i 2/; Certainty, £1 8/: Desdemona, IS/. Second Pony Handicap of 43sovs, five furlongs.—Mr 11. Barr's Orange and Blue, 9.3, 1; Mr B. Cunningham's Lncrece, 5.5, 2: Mr H. Weal's Inspiration, S.O. 3. Scratched: Gladys Rose. Orange and Blue shot to the front when the barrier was lifted, and although Hurihuri headed her, it was only on sufferance, as Orange and Blue took command at the hdrne turn, and. going on, won in a canter by four lengths. Time, 1.4 3-5. Dividends, £2 11/6 and ±1 3-'-Autumn Handicap.—Akarana 1. Delania 2, Komoo 3. All started. Won by half a length. Time 1.43 1-5.
