SUDDEN DEATH AT ONEHUNGA.
About 10 o'clock last night Mrs. Dempsey, a very old resident of Onehunga. residing in Selwyn-street, died very suddenly. The deceased lady had spent yesterday in Auckland visiting some friends, and in the evening he had entertained some local people, and was saying good-bye to them at the front door, when, without a moment's •warning, she fell to the floor. She was immediately removed to her bedroom, and a messenger despatched for medical aid. b\it she expired in a few minute 3. Drs. Scott and Pabst were both absent from Onehunga attending the hospital, and on the latter's arrival at midnight, he could only pronounce life extinct, caused by heart failure. Dr. Pabst having attended the deceased lady, he is prepared to give a. certificate of death. The deceased lady, whose husband predeceased her three years ago, was highly respected. Three daughters and six sons are left lo moui'n their lo=s. and have the sympathy of the whole of Onehunga. The remains of the deceased lady will be interred at Waikaraka Cemetery to-morrow afternoon.
