THE WELLINGTON CCP. The "Wellington Racing Club's summer meeting commences to-morrow, when the 32nd contest for the Wellington Cup takes place. Fourteen have paid up for the event, and It looks as If the lot would go to the post. Achilles and Nightfall have botli received strong support,* aud at the time of writing are about even favourites for the race. Quarryman Is also in demand, and one or two of the others have beea backed by the connections, and taking altogether the iace bears an open appearnuce. The winner may come from Achilles, .Nightfall or Quarryman. The race is timed to start at 2.35 p.m. Acceptances for all events on the tfpeninsr day of the Takapuna.
