Analysis of Manures.—A letter was re-1 ceived with reference to the Bell bequest, which hail for its object the preveut'oi of the Introduction, of inferior manures to the farmers. Bight samples had been secured and submitted to Mr I'ond fur analysis. He suggested that the example of New South Wales should be followed In the matter of inaugurating a series of egg-laying eoaipetitious so as to find out the best breed for egg-layiug purposes. These suggestions were supported by several speakers. As the subject was a new one to most of the members, it was decided to defer the matter to incoming committee, the secretary to make Inquiries as to the practicability of carrying out fhe si'htMue.
