We publish in another column the results of the university junior scholarship examination, which were issued by the recess committee of the New Zealand University this morning. The results are always awaited with the keenest interest and anxiety by the higher educational community. The pride of first pjace, won last year by a Nelson College boy, falls this year to a Dunedin High School boy, with a couple of hundred marks' advantage over his "runner-up," a Napier High School girl. Auckland wins eighth and ninth places in the scholarship list, and in the credit list is also honourably represented.
