STOCK AND PRODUCE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, report that the Durham Yards had a good muster of horses, with an unsatisfied demand for ilraughts ami working horses. We quote: Heavy draughts, at from £28 10/ to £41; medium do., £20 5/ to £27; light harness, £11 to £22; hacks, £8 5/ to £19 13/. Cattle: At the Newmarket Yards on Tuesday dairy and store stock were penned in usual numbers and sold at late rates. There was a full supply of neef. Everything, with the exception of first quality, showed no improvement In value. We quote: Ox beef, to 24/ per 1001b; cow, 17/ to 21/. Steers sold at from £5 15/ to £10 12/6; cows. £4 10/ to £7 12/6. Dairy cows sold at from £4 123/ to £7 15/; empty do. £2 4/ to £3 18/; calves. £1 5/ to £2 18/. Sheep: The Newmarket Yards were well filled on Tuesday, and for those of first quality prices improved. We quote: Wethers, 13/0 to £1 22/3: ewes. 10/6- to £1. Lambs, In full supply, sold well at from 10/6 to 17/6; other sorts, 7/6 to 10/3. Pigs: Well represented. Young pigs, 7/6 to 12/; store do., 11/6 to £1 2/; porkers, 19/6 to £1 15/. We submitted a large catalogue of hides, skins, and tallow on Tuesday, all lines being under keen competition. Cow hides are in good demand, and the supply is unequal to the demand. Wool: We have sold all our passed-in lots at satisfactory prices.
