THIS DAT. > Mr. S. E. McCarthy, SM.) Drunkards.—George William Wilcocks, prohibited, was fined £2 and costs upon his second conviction for drunkenness within six months. Two first offenders were fined £ 1 each. A Remand Case. —Frederick Green, Joseph Burke, and Frank Grimstead, young men, were charged with stealing eight shirts, value 36/, and five woollen singlets, value 16/3, from the shop of Mr. George Fowlds, Queen-street, yesterday. TTie police stated that the property had not been all recovered, and they wished to have the accused remanded until Saturday. The men were accordingly remanded in custody.
