TOKATOKA. FARMERS' UNION PICNIC. The Farmers' Union (Tofca Toka Branch) and Sunday-school combined held their annual picnic at Celmont. kindly phieed at the disposal of the committee by Mr Berddge, on January 10th. The weather was all that could be desired. About 250 old and young were present. At 1 p.m. all sat down to a substantial lunch. In the afternoon all indulged in gomes, n.ces, etc., which resulted in some interesting contests. Towards evening tea was handed around. Great credit is due to the Secretary (Mr W. O. Thompson) and the committee for the efficient way in which they performed their duties. The Crown Lands Commissioner aud other gentlemen visited Toka Toka re the formation of the Domain. It is to be hoped that within a short time the lands in question u>lll be handed over to the trustees, so that this beautiful spot of the Northern Wairoa may be enjoyed by the general public.—(Correspondent.) 4
