INCIDENT AT SYDNEY.
Japan-Bound Steamer Stopped. (Received 9.34 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. The Customs authorities have detained the steamer Rockton on the eve of its departure for Yokohama, in consequence of persistent rumours that it had been purchased by the Japanese. The Government referred the matter to the Federal authorities.
