The Agent-General reports under date London, January IS: "The stock of New Zealand mutton on hand is light, and the sale is dull for all descriptions of mutton. The butter market is firm. Average price for choicest New Zealand butter, 100/ per cw*. Cheese is steady. Average price for finest New Zealand cheese. 52/. The hemp market is quiet, and prices are saghtiy weaker. There is scarcely any demand for cocksfoot seed. Average price for bright, clean New Zealand, weighing 171b per bushel, on spot, 50/. The quotation is nominal. The next series of wool sales will commence on the 17th inaL The total quantity offered win be not less than 145,000 bales, which will Include 29,000 from New Zealand. There is every indication of an advance in all grades of crossbred wool. PEODTJCE QUOTATIONS.
