TRADES HALL TRUST BOARD.

An important meeting of Union delegates was held last evening at the office of the Carters' Union, Queen-street, having been called by circular: issued te all registered Trades Unions within a radius of 20 miles of the G.P.O. Each Union was asked to send two. delegates; 41 being present, representing about 23 Unions. The business of the meeting was to elect a Board of Trustees to be called the Trades' Hall Trust Board, to take over the money at present held by 'Messrs Horning and Boonstra, consisting of £320, the surplus f>i previous Labour Day celebrations, and also all surplus moneys from any Labour Day, celebrations in the future. Mr Jas. Aggers was voted to the chair, and Mr A. Rosser acted as secretary pro tern. The first business was the*reeding and consideration of a draft of a trust deed drawn up by Messrs Devore and Martin, which provides for the future management of all matters pertaining to the esitablishment of a building to be known as the Trades Hall. After careful consideration the trust deed as amended was .approved, and ten" candidates were nominated as trustees. The ballot resulted as follows:—A. Boonstrft 40, H. L. Horning 39, A. Rosser 34, Jas. Derrick 33, H. Baniield 31, R Niddrie 23, W. Harding 21, K. Boyd 21, Jas. Aggers 19, and R. F. Way 10. Messrs Harding and Boyd being a tie for seventh place, Mr Boyd magnanimously retired in favour of Mr Harding, and the chairman then formally declared Messrs Boonstra, Horning, Rosser, Derrick, Banfield, Niddrie, and Harding duly ejected.
