SUNNYSIDE ASYLUM.

(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. A '"Prfes" reporter, making inquiries as to the charges made by Saturday's deputation regarding the Sunnyside Asylum, says: '"Although those who gave information will not allow their names to appear, they gave assurances that their statement was accurate. The informants deny that they had insufficient food supplied, that attendants also complained of having been discharged by the superintendent." It is thought that the agitation emanated from a small band of agitators. Generally speaking, the attendants are contented with their lot, though they desire more pay and shorter hours. As regards the statement that attendants are leaving in large numbers, it is declared that last year's records show that the proportion 7 of discharges is smaller than usual, and that most of them are cases of voluntary resignations.
