AUCKLAND IRONMOULDERS' DISPUTE.

An application for reference of an Industrial dispute has been filed with Mr Thomas, Clerii of Awards at Auckland, by the Auckland Ironmoulders' Onion, by whom 18 employers are cited. The men ask that tee hours of work shall be from 8 a.m. till 5 p.m. on five days of the week, and from 8 a.m. till noon on Saturdays; one hour to be allowed each day for dinner (Saturdays exeepted). The minimum wage for journeymen shall be 1/41 per hour. Overtime shnll be paid for at the rnte of time and a quarter for the first two hours, time and ahnlf till midnight, double time from midnight till starting time the next morning, and double time for work done on Sunday, Oood Friday, Christmas Day. - ew Year's Day, Easter Monday, Labour Day, and the reie-ning Sovereign's Birthday: for ot>ie r statutory holldnys time and a-half. The proportion of apprentices to journeymen shall he one to three or fraction of three. The proportion of apprentices to be based upon the averare number of men emnlovert during the preceding 12 months. This shall also refer to hoys in the plate moulding, range monldiner, and agricultural implement work. All npprertlcee shall be legally Indentured for a term of six years— Ware's for apprentices shall be 6/ per week for the first year. 11/ per week for the second year, 16/ per week for the third year, Si/ per week for the fourth year, 26/ per week for the fifth rear, and 31/ per week for the sixth year. All piecework and sub-contract-ing shall he strictly prohibited. Only two classes of workers phall he recognised, viz.. Journeymen and apprentices. Brass moulders to he Included In the statement.
