OPERA HOUSE.
At the Opera House on Saturday evening Fuller's Entertainers presented their usual weekly change under the moat satisfactory circumstances. The house was packed in all parts, and the Whole progrrnnne, judging by the applause and frequent recalls, gave entire satisfaction to the large audience. Several new artistes made their first appearance, Miss Male Mars and Miss Lulu Eugene having a most enthusiastic reception, while Mr Walter Melrose's descriptive songs were also »**■ wrvedly encored. To-night, in addition to the ordinary programme, the J Uessems,. who are described as most: marvellous acrobats and head-to-head balancers, will make their initial performance. MARTHA." Madame Lilian Tree and her concert company repeated their performance of "Martha" in concert form at: the Choral Hall on Saturday night, and those who attended enjoyed a rich musical treat. The audience displayed keen appreciation of the highly artistic man ncr in which the whole of the items were sung, and Madame Tree, Mr Walter Whyte, Mr Carey, Miss Aulsebrook and Mr Rupert Mantel* bowed their acknowledgments of enthusiastic applause. Mr Whyte's singing of the .ecit. and aria, "My Raptured Gaze," .«'as so much appreciated that the audience would jrot bo satisfied until he had repeated p?rt o* this exacting number. Music-loving p?ople who have iot heavd any of these concerts do not know a genuine treat they are missing. The promoters are deserving of every encouragement. "The Bohemian Girl" is unden - rehearsal for the nest concert.
PADEREWSKI BOOKINGS. The box plans Tor the Paderewski concerts, which take, place in His Majesty's Theatre on Wednesday, the 31st inst., and Friday, September 2, were opened at Messrs Wildman, Lyell and Arey's this morning. There was an eager t-hrong round doors at eight o'clock waiting patiently for nine o'clock, when the plans were opened. A large number of guinea seats were sold, but there is still a limited numb available. The box plan for the halfguinea seats will be opened next Thursday morning. Mr and Mrs PaJciewski and Mr John Lemmone will arrive next Sunday in the . steamer Zealandia.
