CHINESE LABOUR IN THE TRANSVAAL.

The Sigh Commissioner of South Afjica (Lord Milner i has infomied the Secretary for the Colonies (Mr. Lyttellon) that the Chinese labourers on the fland are apparently keen to become efficient miners, and neither fear nor disJike working underground. The experiment, he says, justities every effort to enjure a steady stream of indentured lajiourers from the same source. One hundred and thirty-six wliites are wridng in the New Comet mine on the Bind, as compared with 34 prior to the arrival of Chinese labour on the mine.
