THE DEVONPORT BOROUGH COUNCIL.
(To the EdltoO Sir, —At the last meeting of the above Cγ. Logan desired to move a resolution rescinding a previous one re the Gas Works, thus enabling the matter to be further discussed with a view to the borough taking over the same. Now, according to your issue of Wednesday last, when the business came on Councillors Walker, Philson, Mason, and Graham walked out of the room, thus burking discussion. Now, sir, this action wiis extremely discourteous to a brother councillor, and an insult to the ratepayers, who sent them there to protect the interests of the borough. I trust Mr Logan will again table hi 3 motion for the next meeting. —I am, etc., DISGUSTED RATEPAYER.
