HIS AUCKLAND VISIT. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent) WELLINGTON, this da;.. Mr Marchant (Surveyor-General), and Mr Mueller (Commissioner for Crown Lands in the Auckland district), -who have been supervising operations in connectionwith the subdivision of Matamata Estate, acquired by the Grpvemment for closer settlement, are to confer with the Minister for Lands in Auckland on matters affecting his department in that" part of the colony. Mr Ritchie (Secretary of the Depart' ment of Agriculture) left Wellington this morning with the intention of accompanying Mr Duncan on the final stages of his journey to Auckland.
