He dealt with the period between 1000 B.C. and 000 8.C., and •mood me influoneo of Greek, lonian, and Eaviitkui art, with, special reference to that of thi! Euphrates Valley, Mesopotamia Assyria, the Nile, Athens, and Persia. The lecturer showed examples, of ancient art, and dealt with the whole subject in a most interesting manner.
