COROMANDEL ITEMS.

COROMANDEL, this day,
GOLDEN SPARK-
The low level is now driven a distance of 155 feet. The country being penetrated, is of a most favourable description. In driving the level a fine looking leader was cut which carries a little gold at the intersection, and is likely to improve when driven on. Another lode one foot wide was also cut in this level. It is anticipated that within a month the face will be under the winze from which gold stone was won in the higher workings. KAPANGA. The old tip heads, which have yielded some good returns, are still to be treated. A tributers' party of six men are working on the tips. The ore is being treated at Scotty's battery. ROYAL OAK. A clean-up treatment of 633 tons of ore yielded bullion valued at ' £ 1016. Good ore is coming to hand from the tribute and Tokatea reels, and picked stone is occasionally met with. Some of the old stopes have in times past yielded a considerable amount of bullion, and these are being treated now with satisfactory results. HARBOUR VIEW. Gold is visible at three separate faces in the stopes, and colours are frequently met with. The mine is looKing well, and there are good indications for the near future-
