Copper, on spot, and at three months, £(]0 10/. Pig iron, 52/0. Lead, £12 3/9. Silver, 2/01.
At the kauri gum sales there was a strong demand, 2200 cases offered unci 1000 sold; three-quarter scraped fetched £140.
- Hemp, linn. Good Wellington March shipment, £32 10/; April shipment, £31 10/; May shipment, £80 10/.
Sheepskin Sales: 4700 ottered, and there was keen competition.. The bulk sold for about 5 per cent, above the prices ruling in the March sales. .■'..,.• ;.•:.•■
