Messrs , McNicol find Co. report.—On Thursday at Waihou we hud a full yarding of cattle, prices showed a decided improvement on previous sales, with a good inquiry. Several pens of calves of really good quality made 35/ to 45/; one extra good pen, 55/; small ones, 25/ to 30/; l.j-months steers, £3 5/ to £3 10/; 2-year-old steers, £4 1!)/ to £5 7/0; 2>year-old steers, £5 10/ to £0; 18-montb.H steers, £3 15/ to £4 5/; fresh empty cows, £4 to £4 10/; springing cows and heifers, £5 10/ to £7. A small yarding of beef sold well, steers up to £9, cows £7 10/. Sheep were penned beyond requirements; fat wethers up to 13/, and forward fat ewes y/6 to 11/.
