The Suez mail which left London on 28th. November will arrive here on Wednesday, 7th inst., per Star of New Zealand.

At the next meeting of the Auckland Harbour Board on ifemday Mr Dacre will mov%:—(1) That, the resolution adopted at a meeting of the Board held on August 19, 1902, to the effect, "That consideration of the matter of counterpoise stages be deferred pending the arrival of the engineer, and. it be. the first work the engineer be asked to report upon," be now rescinded, and that the Board proceed with the erection of the stages on the sites already fixed by the Board. (2) That the harbourmaster report to the Board as to the necessity of holding a fresh survey of such parts of Kangitoto Channel and Hauraki Gulf as have of late years not been surveyed. (3) That the transhipment storage of maize be Gd per week, or portion of a week, as previously adopted by the Board. •
