CRICKET MATCHES

The Parnell cricketers won the match against Hamilton yesterday by 341 runs. In the first innings the scores were: Hamilton, 89; Parnell, 130. In the second innings Hamilton had lost four wickets for- 80.

At Pirongia, on Tuesday, the Parnell team played the local club, and won on the first innings by 95 runs. The scores were: Parnell, 155; Pirongia, 60, and in the follow on 115, but time did not allow of a finish.

SCHOOL PICNICS

The Hamilton Sunday-school- picnics yesterday were most successful, notwithstanding the wet. The Anglicans went to Marsh Meadows, the Presbyterians to Newstead, and the Wesleyans to Claudelands rstceconxve. THEFT.
