A most successful and charming sacrfd concert took place in St. Paul's Anglican Church on Thursday evening-, when a musical treat of a. very hig-h order pleased a fairly large audience, the members of which, O iver T.vist like, departed asking for more. The local soloists, Mlsa M. J. Troughear, Messrs A> A. Davies, R. Kainger, and Wra. Tattley. who were in tine voice, were assisted by Messrs J. P. Hooton and K. Walton, of Auckland, and Messrs ~SY. Hooton and Dossettor. Weber's "Mass" and Mozart's "Allcicro" were finely playwl on tlie organ by Mr Hooton, while Mr Walton's rendition of "The Mighty Deep" and "'Why Do the Nations" was worthy of the fine voice and high reputation of the singar, Messrs Dossettor and W r. Hooton sang well also, and the members of the oLoir acquitted themselves wtith credit. Appended is the 'procsramme:— Organ solo, "Allegro," Mr J. P. H>x)ton; solo, "The Mighty Deep," Mr E.
