ST. JOHN'S COLLEGE SPORTS.
The twelfth annual sports in connection with St. John's Cojlegiate School were held on Friday in the Domain Cricket Ground. The boys were favoured with beautiful weather, and there was a large attendance of the general public, in iddition to the many friends and parents of the scholars. Afternoon tea was Uspensed by Mrs Smallfleld and a number of lady friends, and a ohoics pr«gramuie of musical selections was gone Lh rough at Intervals by the Garrison band, and a long programme of 27 events provided some excellent fini.'ihes, and everything1 passed off very plaasantly. The Victor , Ludorum, or School Championship Cup, presented by the headmaster (the Rev. P. S. Smallfleld) was won by Boy Harding with 19 points, Jowitt and G. Smith being second with 12 points each.
