MESSAGES OF SYMPATHY
TELEGRAM FROM THE PREMIER
Mr. Alex. Rose, Collector of Customs at Auckland, this morning received the following message from the Premier: — "Please convey to each of the survivors of the Eiingamite disaster the congratulations of the Government at their escape from a terrible death, and also its heartfelt sympathy with them in their sufferings. We trust that they will speedily be restored to good health, and are thankful indeed that a merciful Providence saved them.-(Signed) R. J. SEDDON."
