BOROUGH MEETINGS.
NEWMARKET.
The meeting of the Newmarket Council on Monday was attended by the Mayor, Mr. John McColl, Councillors A. O. Shipherd, W. Edgerley, J. Kennedy, J. S. Angus, A. Seceombe, Jas. McColl, F. J. Bennett, and J. Caston. Dr. Makgill reported nine cases of measles and one of diphtheria within the borough. Mr. A. P. Friend wrote offering his services as representative on the Hospital and Charitable Aid Board for the coming year. It was decided to vote in favour of Mr. Friend.
