MAORI GIRLS' SCHOOL.

The tenders for the proposed School for Maori Girls were opened at a meeting of the committee at the Diocesan Offlce today. There were 10 tenders, all of which were remarkably close. They were as follow:—J. Penman, £2444; Hansen and Co., £2429; Lye and Sons,. £2419; Robt Kay, £2379; C. Johns, £2479; G. Handcock, £2379; F. Calver, £2373; J. Farrell, £2342: Chas. Bloomfield, £2239; J. Davis, £2131 (accepted). Work is to be begun immediately. Mr Ed. Bartley is the architect.
