CHRISTCHURCH, this day.

A four-roomed house on the Springfield Road, owned by T. Kitchens and occupied by Edward Walker and wife, was completely gutted by fire last night. Mr and Mrs Walker were asleep at the time and escaped just in time. Mr Walker was rendered unconscious. The insurance on the building is £75 in the South British. The furniture is uninsured.
