WAIHI EXTEJsBED. The chamber on the south-east side of the shaft has been completed, and all is ready for driving from both sides. The country is an excellent description of sandstone, in which speedy progress is anticipated. THAMES TALISMAN. The drive is in 96 feet. The reef is now a compact body of stone about 2 feet 6 inches in thickness. The. quartz is of a good,, description for carrying gold, and also carries excellent mineral.
