SHAREMARKET
Waihi shares had more attention to-day on the Exchange. A sale of Waihi Extendeds was reported at 2/8 and 2/9, and at the mid-day call free sales were made, a small parcel changing hands at 2/10, and the balance of several hundreds at 2/11. Waihi South shares were sold at 4d, and the same rate was offered for Consolidateds. Tairua Broken Hill shares failed to keep the recent advance, a sale being reported at 8/6, with further buyers at 8/3. Kornata Eeefs firmed slightly, being sold and still wanted at 1/7. In standard lines buyers came in for Union Steam shares at £11 8/, but no sellers quoted. New Zealand Insurance shares sold at 76/3, and National Banks were wanted at 75/6. Other stocks were unaltered.
