WAIHI, this day,
The third rifle competition for Mr Barry's clock was fired on Saturday afternoon. There Were seven shots with two sighters, at 300, fiOO and 70. yards. Some g-reat shootinr: was done. Private Parslow put on a " possible " (35) at 600 yards. The hisrhest scores were:—Privates Parslow, 97; Morrison 95; W. Samsen, 91; Haszard, 89; Comes. 89; Devereaux, 88; Jackson. 86; Ready, 84; Sergt. Clarke, 80; Major Kenrick, 70.
