The opening match of this Season was played this afternoon, at the recreation reserve, Waikino meeting the City Club, Waihi. Bramble captained the visitors and Garvey the local men. Waihi High School, and Mr W. Lloyd, first assistant, attended. Mr Lloyd was elected secretary and Mr W. H. Phillips, Mayor of Waihi, president. It was agreed, to play the first match between Paeroa and Waihi on the 24th instant at Paeroa.
