WELLINGTON RACING CLUB'S AUTUMN MEETING.

This meeting opens to-morrow. I fancy that Ostiak or Glenaladale may win the Thompson Handicap, and that Cruciform, though likely to be opposed by some useful ones, will win the North Island Challenge Stakes; Goldeumere may prove the runner up. Our Christchurch correspondent wires that Cruciform ought to have no difficulty in winning the North Island Challenge Staljis and the New Zealand St. Leger at .Wellington, and fancies that Glenaladale or Okoari may account for the Thompson Handicap.

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.)

There is no straight out betting for' the Thompson Handicap, but popular fancies, coupled with the candidates'in the Railway Handicap are GlenaladaJe and Halberdier for the former, and Red Gauntlet and Windwhlsjle ■f#r-.£lie sftojj; race. _, IZI--^*.^*
