WAIHI, this day,
The following nominations Avere received for the position of Mayor: W. H. Phillips, the present Mayor, nominated by D. Campbell and R. Newdick; Councillor D. Donaldson, nominated by W- J. Brown and W. J. Hales; Mr W. R. Locke, who intended to be a candidate, withdrew in favour of Mr Donaldson. The election takes place on Wednesday week.
