The reef stripped in both drives has been broken down and a start made to strip again east and west. In the east drive the reef averaged about one foot in thickness. When breaking down colours of gold were seen in the quartz, which was also accompanied by a good description of mineral. Another eght feet have been stripped, which wall make the distance opened on the reef eastward twenty-three feet. The country is a good description of sandstone 5 interlaced with small flinties and mineral veins. In the west drive the reef is one foot, three inches in width and strong colours of gold/were seen in the stone; also a good class of mineral egid a little antimony. During the week eight feet were stripped westward," and the country is of a very good description for the occurrence of gold. Breaking down takes place early this week.
