NORTH SHORE YACHT CLUB.

The final cruise of the season of the above club to Rakina Island was held on Saturday afternoon.

At the start the wind was light, but freshened hi a southerly" blow during the afternoon, and thus Volunteer, Ladye Wilma, Windward, Wairere, Mahaki, Thistle, Undine, Waimarie, Spray, Irish Lily, Mavis and Speedwell were enabled to make the island in good time. After tea the party went ashore at the invitation of Mr J. Quinn, and a very enjoyable social evening was spent. The following contributed to the programme: Mrs Quinn, Messrs Cooper, Bell,. Boulton, Orpwood, Queree, Martin, Parker, Feltbarii, Winkelmann and Wilkinson. At the supper table Captain H. Parker (Commodore), who was supported on the right by James Dunning (vice-Commo-dore) and oh the left by W. Alexander (rear-Commodore), thanked Mr and Mrs Quinn, on behalf of the yachtsmen, for the hospitality and. kindness extended to them, the resolution being carried with musical honours- Mr Quinn responded, and hoped the club would visit them often next Season. The singers were accorded a vote of thanks, thus ending a pleasant evening, and terminating the aQuatic fixtures for season 1901-2.
