A valedictory social, tendered to the. Rev. A. Mitchell and family, took place In the Caledonian Hall on Thursday evening. It was largely attended. Tha chair was taken by ,Mr B. B. Johnson, circuit steward, and addresses were delivered by the Revs. Norris, Tylee, Mr T. W. Rhodes, and the chairman. All referred to the good work accomplished by Mr Mitohell, both as minister and citizen, and to the high esteem in which he and his wife and family are held' throughout the district, An excellent,; concert programme was gone throughMr MitchelTwas presented with an U" irrmina-ted address and a set of oarveiOQ behalf of the congregation, as a slight to-ljen of their eeteem and good fellowship.
