VISITING THAMES HOSPITAL.
At six o'clock this morning- Sir Joseph returned by special train to Thames, getting off at Short-land, where he was welcomed by Mr Trembath (Mayor), Very Rev. Dean O'Reiily, Mr it. R. Being once more asked regarding the Waihi Hospital Sir Joseph said that the feeling both at Waihi and elsewhere seemed to be in favour of it being a separate institution with a separate district. As regards forming Waihi into a borough, Sir Joseph pointed out that the Government had no option in the matter, as the population was over 1000.
At 7.45 Sir Joseph reached the wharf and embarked on the Wakatere, reaching Auckland shortly before noon. This afternoon he, visited Ellerslie, Otahuhu, Mnngere and Avondale.
