PRECAUTIONS AT WELLINGTON,

WELLINGTON, Sunday.

The steamer Wakanui, from Lon« don, via Capetown and Hobart, an-" ehored in the stream this morning; Owing to a case of small-pox having occurred on board of the vessel prior to her arrival at Hobart, particulars of which were given by cable a few days ago, special precautions are bcsj ing taken by the Health Department. The health officer is at present on board the Wakanui. All the passengers will probably be vaccinated before being permitted to land. ' WELLINGTON, this day. The Wakanui came alongside the wharf last evening. Two of her liremen refused to be vaccinated, and were sent to Somes Island for sixteen days' quarantine. ..'.;■■
