Auckland v. Wanderers.—Auckland resumed their first innings with nine wickets down for 170, and after two had been added Holland was clean bowled. In a deficit of 133, Wanderers started their second innings and, playing carefully, gave the Auckland men a good deal ot trouble. S. Mills played good cricket for 35 but Hobson's was the best innings, though he was badly missed at square leg The most remarkable innings, however was that of Somervell, who was at the wickets for an hour and thirty-five minutes for 2 runs. The innings closed "or 124 nine runs short of the number to save an innings defeat.
