S-Ld to 9d. The fruit market'has been glutted. Plums, 1/3 to ■!/ per case; peaches, 1/6 to 5/6; apricots, 9d to 4^6; pears, Jargonelle, 1/6 to 2/6 per box; other sorts, 1/ to 2/; grapes, lOd to 1/ per lb; walnuts, 7d lb; tomatoes, 2/6 to 4/ per box: apricots, 4/6 to 6/6 per case; passion fruit, 8/ to 10/; oranges, local 8/ case, Island 10/ case, American IS/ per case- lemons, coarse 2/ to 2/6 case, fine 3/ to 4/. Poultry: Hens, 1/9 to 2/2; roosters, 2/6 to 3/. Pigs, 1/9 to 2/. Geese, 2/6; turkeys, 5/ to 8/. Pork, 4d to 41d; young pigs, 5/9 to'lo/3.
