THAMES.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.)
THAMES, this day.
CREEKS FLOODED,
All the local creeks are in flood. The county water-race, it was feared, would be unable to bear the strain. Though all heads were turned oft", the race was full, but everything held and no damage was done. The Karaka Creek very nearly banked over the bridge in Pol-len-street at high tide to-day, but fortunately the. tide receded in time. . ME POTTS' ILLNESS. Mr Potts, President.of the Miners' Union, had a relapse on- Saturday after apparently recovering, and is now confined to bed. MINEES' DISPUTE. A ballot of local miners of the Union on whether the dispute will be taken to the Arbitration Court is being taken to-day.
