AUCKLAND CRICKET CLUB.

The half-yearly meeting of the Auckland Cricket Club was held at

the Amateur Sports Club last evening, Mr H. D. Hill presiding. The report read showed that live teams had been entered for the championship matches, the second and third o-rade competitions being carried off without a single defeat. E. MacCormick, one of the club's cx-jumors, had acquitted himself creditably in the representative team that went South. Financially, the club was in a better position than for years past, having a balance of .£4O, alter meeting all liabilities. Troph;i_ for the past season were awarded as follows: First grade, batting, E. MacCormick; bowling, E. Nuiil. Second grade, batting, \v. S. Hunter; bowling, It. C. Airey. Third grade, batting, W. 11. Graham; bowling, E. McCoy. Fourth grade, batting, VV. Nyberg; bowling, C. Eastgale. Mr B. J. M. Kemp's trophy for the best bowling average, in the club was won by C. Eastgate with 73 wickets at a cost of 3.3 runs per wicket.
