MR MURRAY APPOINTED SELECTOR.
The Auckland Rugby Union Management Committee have appointed Mr F S. Murray as selector of the representative teams during the present season in place of Mr J. Arneil, who has been compelled by pressure of business to give up the position he filled with such marked success. lac new selector is well known to footballers throughout the colony, having represented Auckland on the football field from 1889 to 1899, besides being included in the North Island team of 1894, and the '93 and '97 New Zealand teams. He may be depended upon to show in his new duties the enthusiasm which has always marked his connection with the game.
