Training operations for the approaching Steeplechase Meetings have been somewhat hampered by rain. Although the track was heavy nearly all the competitors were out this morning", and good work was registered. Venture, Kauri (itini, an<L Rhino wont orx-p round over country in company. Kauri Gum fell at the double. Rhino (hen went v round alone, jumping well. Social I'est, working tit. went three times round at half and thrwqearter pace. Moifaa, who looks well after the Auckland trip, was restricted to slow work. A number of others cantered.
