I not being afforded an opportunity of witnessing a Maori display will be pleased to learn lhat » performance will be given this evening at the Opera House by the Hawke's Bay tribe, the matter having been arranged by Mr J. MeConuoehie. The .Maoris have signified their intention of contributing their portion of the proceeds to the fund for the Maori Girls' School ai Piirnell. As the price of admssion h;i.s been fixed at. one shilling for all parts of the house, there should be a large attendance. The Maoris will give haka, and poi dances, as well as various comic songs.
