DUNEDIN VISIT SHORTENED.

(By Telegrraph.—Press Association.)

DUNEDIN, Friday

Reports have ; been current for some days that the Royal visit to Dunedin would be cut short, but were disbelieved. To-night, however, official intimation was received that Royalties leave Dunedin at half-past eleven on Thursday morning instead of half-past ten at night.

Visitors are already flocking into town for the Iloyal visit. A prolonged spell of fine weather broke to-day, when a drizzling rain fell, interfering somewhat with the preparations.
