The preparations in connection with the boring operations to be conducted on the Victoria Gold Mining Company's property are well advanced. A boiler, double cyclinder horizontal engine, bore pipes, and, in fact, the complete plant is already on the ground. Men are employed erecting the necessary sheds and attending to details beiore boring is commenced. It is anticipated boring will be started in a week's time. The first bore will be put down about 80 yards west of the Tararu Eoad, nearly midway between the Moanatairi battery and Judd's tailing plant.' It is hoped success will attend the Victoria Company's operations.
